The Hunter's Moon, also known as a blood or sanguine moon, is a rare and impressive celestial event. The phenomenon usually occurs in October and is the first full moon after the autumnal equinox. This is the Hunter's moon! It never ceases to amaze me that with a bit of patience, you can actually photograph the moon out of your own back yard. I photographed this on the 16th October. 300mm 1/200 f8 ISO 200. The moon is 238,855 miles away from Earth!!
